NEEPCO, a Govt. of India Enterprise, has been set up to plan, investigate, design, construct, generate, operate and maintain power stations in the North Eastern Region of the country. NEEPCO has an installed capacity of 1130 MW which is 55% of the total installed capacity of the N.E Region


Jammu & Kashmir State Power Development Corporation Limited (JKSPDCL) was incorporated by the Govt. of J&K as a Private limited company in 1995 to takeover, execute, complete, operate and maintain all power stations and power projects of the State. BarkiTojik handles subjects of operation of power plants and republic networks, development, transmission, distribution, etc. of electric energy. Gogoal Hydro Power is executing the renovation/upgrading of its Varzob Hydro Plant-I through BHEL
